The earthquake

In the time of earthquake I was on vacation with my family in the north of Chile and Tacna in Peru. The earthquake was at about three o'clock in the morning and at that time with my family was sleeping in a hotel in Tacna for this reason we didn’t feel the earthquake.When I woke up, at about 8 am, I saw the TV in the international signal for TVN and I saw the terrible news of what had happened in my country.
Then, I went to my parents' room and told them the news, then we went to breakfast at the dinning room with the others turist who were staying in the hotel. It was very painful to have to see these images at a distance and at the same time of great concern and helplessness. I don't have relatives in the area affected by the earthquake so it was just worrying about my friends from university who lived in the south. I tried to call phone booth but it was impossible because the communication was completely cut in the country. It then I connected to Facebook from the hotel and there I could find out the status of my realtives and friends also all of my acquaintances in Santiago were totally fine, thank God.

Hi, mi name is Diego Olivares Bonilla, I am student of second year to the University of Chile in the carreer of Public Asministration and in this blog I will try to love a little more english. The truth is I quite complicated but with a little effort will succeed. I hope that this difficult year in which we live all chileans, will be of great benefit and hope that everything we learn and really allow students to raise awareness that we are not in university to rejoice in the future of personal gain but to fight the injustices that surround us and for the most oppressed.
